What you will do
We are seeking talented and energetic candidates to join our Advisory, Management Consulting team as a Consultant Intern/Co-op starting in May 2023 to September 2023 working in our Management Consulting practice in Montreal. You will have the opportunity to work across industries to take on challenging and groundbreaking projects. From analyzing and assessing business processes to improving client performance, you’ll be building strong relationships with our people and developing professional skills that will help set you up for success.

Enterprise Solution - Workday
  • KPMG has a large Workday practice in Canada, which includes several Workday product managers. Our Workday experts have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the areas of HR and Finance.
  • The Workday practice is responsible for leading all Workday projects with our clients based on a real knowledge and understanding of the industry challenges and opportunities.
Intelligence Automation
KPMG's Intelligent Automation (IA) practice helps clients across all industries unlock value leveraging user behavior analysis, business process automation, new digital interactions as well as data governance and management. As part of the IA practice you will assist our clients throughout their automation journey, from strategy definition, opportunity identification and initial roadmap to scaled automation operations leveraging the best of breed technologies.

People & Change
We advance our client’s business performance by helping to shape and navigate the important people dynamics related to the transformation of work, capabilities, and behaviours. Technology, Strategy & Transformation
KPMG's Technology Strategy and Transformation team supports organizations in end-to-end digital transformations that link front, middle, and back office departments. We work with various leaders and directors in technology domains to define their digital transformation vision and then develop a customized technology strategy and implementation plan that will enhance the value of the business to make it a truly connected enterprise. We also offer services that span the entire data lifecycle, from developing data strategies to deploying data platforms to generate critical insights and analytics. All of this to increase confidence in their data, make more informed decisions and limit exposure to regulatory penalties.

Customer:
KPMG's Customer Experience and Strategy team has developed some of the best digital tools, methods and frameworks available. Our expertise lies in designing relevant customer experiences and omnichannel strategies that align with our partners' business context and equip them for growth. Our projects involve co-defining strategy, technology, design and business processes from a customer experience perspective. Our main activities consist of :
  • Defining and implementing a customer experience strategy and program
  • Assessing, implementing and optimizing unified commerce
  • Developing personas and user journeys
  • Creating a digital vision and planning the development and deployment of a transformation roadmap.
  • Defining cutting-edge strategies that enable organizations to fully leverage new technologies (e.g. Metaverse) and their innovation functions.
We are looking for digital strategists who are passionate about orchestrating experiences and digital transformation of organizations.

Enterprise Solution - Oracle
KPMG’s Enterprise Solutions teams help client teams create and maintain a competitive advantage in the market. Your role will help clients to strategically enhance their internal operating models to become a digitally connected enterprise. You will help CIOs make their function future ready. As part of a team that applies skills in IT strategy and system implementation such as Oracle, you will help clients execute their transformation strategies with the technology best suited to their business, data, and information requirements as a functional or technical consultant. In addition to participating in pursuits and practice development, your day-to-day activities may include:
  • Determine and analyze clients' IT functional and technical needs
  • Design and implement solutions to drive business led technology enabled transformations
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, partners, and customers in multiple areas
  • Undertake or support configurations to tailor solutions to client needs
  • Undertake or support technical activities such as data conversions, integrations, security etc.
  • Work with agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Work in teams and individually as needed, including international teams

KPMG's Operations team supports clients in the Financial Services industry (Banking, Wealth & Asset Management, Insurance, Private Equity, Pensions, Healthcare & Life Sciences) with a range of services including strategic planning, industry related technology system implementations, Target Operating Model (TOM) creation, process improvement/design, cost optimization/value realization and accounting/regulatory change programs. As a member of the Operations team, you will assist clients in conducting current state assessments/diagnostics, target state vision/design, as well as developing roadmaps and supporting implementation.

ServiceNow
KPMG's Service Now IT Consulting Group is dedicated to delivering the benefits of a wide range of technologies by helping our clients develop high-performance IT capabilities and invest wisely in existing systems to add value to their business. We help clients define their IT and digital management strategy and assist them throughout the technology and digital transformation of their business. We help information leaders prepare for the future. Our IT strategy and systems implementation resources enable our clients to execute their transformation strategy with the technology best suited to their business, data and information requirements.

What you bring to the role
For all service lines:
  • You are enrolled in a university degree program (we will be considering candidates from a spectrum of programs such as business, commerce, science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, arts, etc.). Candidates graduating between April 2023 and August 2023 should apply.
  • You are a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic to take on a variety of challenges and opportunities
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You have a strong academic record
  • You have the ability to work independently without supervision
  • You have strong problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as a proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure
  • You have a strong sense of personal accountability
  • You have an entrepreneurial drive, and are a creative problem solver
For the more technical service lines (Intelligent Automation, Enterprise Solutions - Worday & ServiceNow):
  • Strong interest in Technology and a strong aptitude to learn quickly
  • Understanding of programming languages; Strong Python, Squl, C++, and/or Java proficiency is an asset for certain teams.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and analytics to non-technical persons, as well as business processes, concepts, challenges and issues to technical persons.
