We have partnered with Maple Leaf Foods in London to help them find top talent for their maintenance team at their new facility in London. They are looking for skilled Electricians who have at least 3 years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally in food manufacturing. The successful electrician candidate was have strong analytical skills to help identify and correct issues, is a team player and would be willing to mentor apprentices or new hires in the future. It is a clean, high tech environment that is unionized. The wage is $39 an hour. Responsibilities
  • Perform regular maintenance based on schedule and update records
  • Troubleshoot and repair machines in a timely manner to maintain production schedule
  • Carry out document work requests and apply corrective action
  • Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, variable frequency drives, generators, alternators, 
industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic, ethernet or coaxial cable assemblies, light fixtures and other electrical components
Qualifications
  • Certified Electrician (442A or 309A)
  • 3+ years of industrial experience, ideally in a food manufacturing facility
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications
  • Ability to interpret electrical code specifications
  • Ability to follow health and safety requirements
