ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Cultivate strong customer partnership with assigned retailer to influence category results:
Cultivate strong customer partnership with assigned retailer to influence category results:
- Drive Customer Partnership, Advisorship and/or Category Captaincy to grow influence on category outcomes.
- Lead unbiased Customer-Centric Category initiatives & reviews to drive growth.
- Provide technical Category Management support by gathering information through sources such as Nielsen and retailer specific data sources.
- Analyze and identify opportunities to accelerate total category/department performance.
- Provide Category-centric and Retailer-specific assortment optimization and shelving best practice recommendations.
- Build position as industry insights leaders through consistent thought leadership on core categories proactively identifying opportunities to drive category growth.
Partner with sales team to translate category/consumer insights into category-responsible General Mills Canada recommendation:
- Partner on category-first strategic initiative with sales team and the customer.
- Provide story-building, analytical support, and insights on General Mills Canada/Sales initiatives.
- Own management of Customer Database POS & loyalty data to drive differential Customized Insights.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Customer Insights, Lead Manager.
Partners and collaborates with: Sales Team, Aisle Development Team, Category & Consumer Insights

- Problem Solving & Analytic skills
- Strategic Business Planning skills
- Integrity and drive to always do the right thing for the category
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and retailers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree, preferably in Business
- 2+ years experience in Sales and/or Insights
- Experience with Nielsen and Customer data sources preferred
- Direct Account and Retail sales experience an asset
