Housekeeping Room Attendant
• Do you have a keen eye for detail? This might be the opportunity for you! As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you are at the heart of the hotel! You will take ownership of our guestrooms and will be responsible for their daily cleaning, ensuring that our guests are provided with a clean, comfortable space, to the established Fairmont standards.

What you will be doing:
· Demonstrates Accor Service Promise Standards and Values in all interactions with guest and colleague.
· Liaise with Front Office and Engineering and other related departments to co-ordinate guest service and resolve emerging guest issues promptly.
· Daily task assignments
· Opening procedures
· Assists in the prioritization/preparation of all guestrooms with the Housekeeping colleagues.
· Inspects long-stay guestrooms daily to ensure quality of service is consistent.
· Carries out a minimum of 35-40 room inspections daily, including ALL guestrooms, special attention guest rooms, and/or VIP guestrooms to ensure quality standards are maintained.
· Inspects all public areas to ensure standards are maintained.
· Coaches, directs and monitors the behavior of the colleagues to be consistent with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts established values and expectations.
· Inspection of ALL guests, VIP’s, Distinguished Visitor guests
· Answers and qualifies all phone calls to Housekeeping.
· Assists with Fairmont Fit requests on a daily basis.
· Helps to build and maintain high morale within the department
· Provide feedback to colleagues
· Responds and follows up with al Lost and Found inquiries.
· Communicates with colleagues using two way radio.
· Input of Payroll daily using Dayforce
· Attends daily Housekeeping briefings.
· Adheres to Health & Safety policy and ensuring safe work practices are followed at all times.
· Adheres to Environmental policies and procedures.
· Maintain bulletin boards.
· Attend Housekeeping meetings, taking minutes and providing minutes.
· Co-ordinates Out of Order rooms.
· Assists with bi-weekly inventories.
· Completes storeroom requisitions.
· Assist with issuing uniforms and maintaining uniform files

Your experience and skills include:
• Must possess outstanding guest service skills with a professional presentation.
• Detail-orientated and keen attention to guest requirements.
• Effective telephone and basic computer skills preferred.
• Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience preferred.
• Must be physically fit in order to lift items up to 10kg.
• Must be flexible in terms of working days and hours.
• Proficient in English, written and verbal.
• WHMIS training is an asset.
