About This Opportunity

The Distribution Supervisor will be responsible for the efficiency of the distribution routes at minimal cost and in a safe environment. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, the Supervisor will be part of a dynamic team of four members to coordinate the logistics of the delivery team.
  • Daytime hours Monday to Friday. The candidate is required to work one Saturday per month.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring efficiency in product distribution and management of delivery drivers (schedules, collective agreement, etc.).
  • Hire, train and develop the skills of a team of drivers/deliverers and different delivery methods.
  • Ensure proper follow-ups and training in CNESST matters in order to maintain a 'zero' accident culture;
  • Ensure compliance in terms of transportation and respect of government regulations (Law 430);
  • Maintain a good working relationship and ensure a positive and stimulating environment for the drivers;
  • Ensure high quality standards by using appropriate technologies
  • Act as a liaison between distribution, the departments involved and the customers;
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service and solution oriented.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or DEC in industrial management or other relevant field of study;
  • 1 to 3 years experience in the consumer goods distribution sector;
  • Relevant experience in personnel management in a unionized environment is an asset;
  • Valid driver's license and impeccable driving record;
  • Knowledge of SAP, SAP-time and the office suite, GEOTAB is an asset
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written), English intermediate level;
  • Class 1 driver's license (an asset).
